Abstract. The research was conducted from 2005 to 2006 on sweet cherry trees ‘Burlat’ variety, previously grafted onto P-HL A stock. The trees were sprayed with Wapnowit and Wapnowit + Calcinit five times at preharvest time spraying with Wapnowit and Wapnowit + Calcinit was applied five times. On the basis of the conducted experiments it was found that applied chemicals did not affect the fruit size of sweet cherry fruit ‘Burlat’ variety. The impact of Wapnowit and Wapnowit with Calcinit on reduction in sweet cherry fruit cracking has been proved.

Summary
The research was conducted from 2005 to 2006 on eight-year-old sweet cherry trees ‘Burlat’ variety, which had been previously grafted onto P-HL A stock. The experiment was performed on random samples with five trials (one tree was one trial). The trees were planted at intervals of 4 by 3 m. They were sprayed with the examined chemicals five times at the preharvest time (with Wapnowit – 0.04 l/10 1 H2O, Calcinit in solution of 0.6%). Some fruit was sprinkled with water for 12 and 24 h before harvesting (on trees). Some fruit was soaked in water for 12 and 24 h after harvesting. To assess the differences in averages, Tukey’s test was applied, assuming the significance level at 5%. On the basis of the conducted research it was found that the applied chemicals did not affect the fruit size of sweet cherry ‘Burlat’ variety. The impact of Wapnowit and Wapnowit with Calcinit on reduction in sweet cherry fruit cracking has been proved.
